This is the last reminder to eligible students for the driver’s ed course that begins in March.  You must be signed up with Mrs. McCracken by January 31st

 

Calling all NHS members! If you would like to earn some service hours Sports Booster's needs some help in basketball concession stand. Come see the sign-up sheet outside Mrs. Kosinski's room (Rm 236) for dates or send her a Teams message.

  

Reminder to students in 7th thru 12th Grade….If you passionate about video games and have you ever thought about being a member of an Esports team then join us Tuesday, January 31st, as we tour the brand new Esports arena on the JCC Cattaraugus campus.  Stop by the main office to sign-up.  Permission slips are due no later than Friday, January 27th.

 

7-12th graders have the opportunity to go tubing at Holiday Valley on Saturday, February 4th.  Permissions slips are outside Mrs. Morella’s room, 201.  Spots are limited, so return your permission slip to reserve your spot!

 

This Friday is an Early Dismissal for all students in both elementary and high school buildings.  Dismissal will be at 11:27.  The time schedule will consist of periods 1 through 4.  Each period has been extended in length of time.  Please refer to the Revised Schedule posted. 

 

This is the Week !...the circus will be here on Saturday January 28th at 6:30 in the High School Gym.  If you are 13 years old or older you will need to purchase a ticket.  Get your pre-sale tickets now, don’t wait!  The price increases the night of the show. Stop by the high school office and get your ticket from Mrs. Baker for only $15!!!  Children 12 and under are FREE with a paid adult!!

  

The Winter Weekend theme this year is “MASQUERADE BALL”.  The dance will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 8 to 11PM.  Presale tickets will be sold until Thursday the 2nd.  Cost is $12 per person and can be purchased from Mrs. Welty.  Prices will increase to $15 per person if bought at the door.  This is a semi-formal dance so proper attire is required….NO JEANS and NO HATS.

 

On Thursday during the pep rally the Winter Weekend Court will be announced. Those students will be recognized at half-time of the Varsity Boys Basketball game versus Randolph the same night.  There, the 2023 King & Queen will be revealed.

 

Some important notes regarding Winter Weekend:

#1:  If you are on the Academic Ineligibility list and have not been attending Study Center, you will not be permitted to attend the dance. 

#2:  If you intend on bringing someone from a different school, you must get a permission slip from the office for them to sign and return it to Mrs. Welty before Friday the 3rd.

#3:  If you would like to bring a student that has already graduated high school, they must be a graduate of PCS.

 

Reminder to all students and Teachers and Staff:…THIS IS THE LAST WEEK if you want to help pets in need… please bring in dog and cat items as specified on the SPCA flyer by end of this week. Thank you PCS for helping furry friends in need!

 

The boys 8th grade modified team lost to Randolph last night 37-22.  Garret Reynolds led the way on offense with 9 points.  Sabre Herne chipped in 6 points and put in a tough defensive effort.  Both 7th and 8th grade teams play Genesee Valley tonight.  7th grade starts at 5 and the 8th grade game will follow.  “

 

Congratulations to both the girls and boys bowling teams defeating Catt/LV last night 4-0.  Emma Pinney bowled a 396 series and Kiyah Mohr bowled a 353 series.

 

The JV boys basketball team lost a close a game to Franklinville last night 62-55 despite a season high 10 3 pointers. Braedon Carter and Chase Armstrong scored 17 and 14 points to lead the panthers. 

 

The boy's Varsity basketball team defeated Franklinville last night 56-36. A great defensive effort sealed the deal late in the game. Leading the way for the panthers was Aidan Defazio with 24 and Cole Faulkner with 10. The boys travel to Gowanda on Friday to take on the Panthers. Great job boys.
