Trap sign ups continue this week. Grades 7-12 are eligible. Again, make sure you sign up in the Main Office by this Friday.  Season will start the end of January. More information to follow. See Ms. Wenke with any questions. Thanks! 

 

Gamer’s Club will be meeting this Friday, December 16th, from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library.  For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.

 

This week is the chance to make Christmas ornaments with Mr. McInnis and Mr. Suain in Portville's own Envisioneering Center—the two-day, after-school workshop will be offered tomorrow and Thursday, and is limited to 16 students!  Sign up today outside of the Envisioneering Center! 

 

Today is the afterschool Ice Skating trip for students signed up with Miss Giardini.  You'll need to return your signed permission slip to attend. 

  

Reminder to all animal lovers:    On Saturday, December 17th,, from noon-2pm, PCS is offering a SPCA shelter visit for any student, in grades 7-12.  The bus will depart at 11:45 and return by 2:15.  The signup sheet is located outside of Ms. Judy Maxson’s room #202.   In order to reserve a spot, you will need to sign up and return the SPCA volunteer waiver form.  This waiver is also located outside of Ms. Maxson’s room.  There are only 20 spots available, so hurry up and get that waiver signed!

  

Now for some news from the PCS Sports World….

This past Saturday the Portville Panther Varsity Wrestlers hosted their 47th Annual Wrestling Invitational. The Panthers placed 4th in a very competitive field of 12 teams. Placing individually for the Panthers were Riley Horsley who placed 6th at 126 pounds. Placing 5th was Maxx Deyoe at 138 pounds and Hayden Emley at 189 pounds. Placing 4th was Jake Zeigler at 160 pounds. Placing 3rd was Sam Zeigler at 145 pounds and Hank Chamberlain at 215pounds. Placing first for the Panthers was Cam Morrison at 152 pounds. It was a great showing for the Panthers. They are in action again on Wednesday night as the host the Maple Grove Red Dragons here at 6pm. Great Job Panthers. Let’s get back to work.

 

"The JV boys basketball team fell to 2-1 in a 61-41 loss to Frewsburg last night. Last week, the JV boys won two in a row at home and will play at home again this Thursday at 6 vs Gowanda.  Through 3 games Braedon Carter and Chase Armstrong have led the team in scoring with 16 and 15 points per game."
