Congratulations to all of the band and chorus members for a wonderful night of music last night! 

 

Trap sign ups are going on now in the main office now through December 16th. Grades 7-12 are eligible. Again, make sure you sign up in the Main Office before next Friday.  Season will start the end of January. More information to follow. See Ms. Wenke with any questions. Thanks! 

 

Did someone say CHRISTMAS TREE RICE KRISPIE TREATS!?!........YUM !!!  …..The Culinary Club will be making those on Monday…..sign up is outside Mr. Mitchell's room today!

 

 

If any student is interested in learning how to make a Stained Glass Suncatcher or Ornament, please see Mrs. Welty.  She will be taking groups of ten students to a Workshop in Olean on Monday, December 12th and on Tuesday, December 20th.  She has permission slips in her room.  The FIRST ten to bring the signed slip for each date will be the ones who get to attend.  There is a flyer hanging outside her room with more details or feel free to ask Mrs. Welty if you have any other questions.

  

Are you having trouble with gift ideas? Make Christmas ornaments with Mr. McInnis and Mr. Suain in Portville's own Envisioneering Center—the two-day, after-school workshop will be offered on Tuesday. 12/13, and Thursday, 12/15, and is limited to 16 students!  Sign up today outside of the Envisioneering Center! 

 

Attention Students interested in Ice Skating ….grab a friend or two and sign up outside Miss Giardini's room to go ice skating after school on Tuesday, December 13th, from 3:00-5:15PM.

You'll need to return a signed permission slip to attend! Don't delay-sign up today!

  

Reminder to all animal lovers:    On Saturday, December 17th,, from noon-2pm, PCS is offering a SPCA shelter visit for any student, in grades 7-12.  The bus will depart at 11:45 and return by 2:15.  The signup sheet is located outside of Ms. Judy Maxson’s room #202.   In order to reserve a spot, you will need to sign up and return the SPCA volunteer waiver form.  This waiver is also located outside of Ms. Maxson’s room.  There are only 20 spots available, so hurry up and get that waiver signed!

 

“It’s time for Boys 7th and 8th grade Modified Basketball Sign-ups.  Come sign up in Mr. Brennan’s room before or after school.”

 

Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade modified girls basketball teams on their wins last night vs Ellicottville.  The 7th graders won 19-14.  Scoring for the Lady Panthers were Airianna Whittaker with 7 points, Leigha Stives, Marissa Carls and Kaylin each with 4 points. The 8th graders won 28-18.  Scoring for the Panthers were Ella Ziegler with 12 points, Nazara DeGolier with 8 points, Peyton Rogers with 6 and Lauren Lyle with 2.  Nice job girls! 

 

Congratulations to the Jv Lady Panthers Basketball team on their dominating win last night against rival Allegany Limestone!  Leading a balanced offensive attack was Bella Morales and Ali Haynes who each had 8 points, while Emma Rhinehart and Maddy Ford each chipped in 6.   Great job ladies!!

 

The Lady Panthers improved to 3 and 0 with a 53 to 31 victory over Allegany-Limestone last night.  Jackie Scanlon had a career-high 16 points and 7 assists, while Lilly Bentley recorded another double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Teagan Kosinski got us going on our press with 8 steals which led to easy baskets in transition.  She also had 8 points and 5 assists.  Meghan Lyle contributed 6 rebounds.  Great job ladies! Practice starts at 2:30PM today in the weight room.

 

Students are reminded that the use of cell phones, Ear Buds, or any other external listening devices during class or in the hallways are prohibited.  These items should be stored in lockers during the school day, or put in phone pockets in classrooms.  You may use phones at your lockers or in the cafeteria.  Again, no earbuds are to worn while walking down the hall or in classes.
