Attention Juniors and Seniors… If you are interested in taking the ASVAB on October 24th, please sign up in the Guidance Office before October 14th.  The test is free.

 

NOW FOR PCS SPORT NEWS:

"The girls modified soccer team had an amazing victory over Catt. Little Valley. Kiyah Mohr had the only two goals for the game. Ellie Billings and the defense played fantastic while Peyton Rogers, Haliee Wray, Ella Warters, and Evelyn Noller dominated the center of the field. Great work ladies!"

Last night on Senior Night the girls varsity soccer team improved to 11 and 2 with a 6 to nothing win against Cattaraugus-Little Valley. Olivia Dean scored two goals and had two assists. Teagan Kosinski, Allison Smith, Hailey Edwards, and Grace Gariepy scored one goal each, and Meghan Lyle recorded an assist. Janet Marshall was the Minion winner for her hard-nosed play, great attitude, and being a tremendous team player. Mackenzie Harmon made two saves to preserve the shutout. Portville heads to St. Bonaventure Monday for a non-league clash against Olean at 7 pm.

 

The JV volleyball team defeated Allegany- Limestone 2-1 last evening. 

Ali Haynes led the panthers with10 kills, 6 digs and 6 aces, Ana Haynes added 12 digs, Laney Vincent 4 kills and Addie Walker ran the offense with 14 assists 

The panthers will travel to Jamestown on Tuesday. 

 

The Portville volleyball team defeated Allegany Limestone last night. 

25-18, 25-12, 25-9

Tori Unverdorben was recognized for her 1000 career digs. She also led the panthers with a double double 12 kills,17 digs and 5 aces. 

Jillian Stebbins added 33 assists, 2 aces, Ava Haynes also with a double double with 10 kills, 16 digs and 6 aces

Lillian Bentley 10 kills, 3 aces. 

Samantha Steadman 4 kills, Adriana Ensell, 9 digs and 2 aces. 

The Panthers are now 11 & 0 and will travel to Jamestown on Tuesday with a 6:30 start time. 

 

Special Announcement from the Athletic Department 

 

Congratulations to our Athletes of the Month for the month of September: We will recognize Football, Girls Soccer and Volleyball today.  On Tuesday we will recognize Boys Soccer and Cheer. 

 

 Girls Soccer:

 Meghan Lyle - Jr Forward: Meghan leads the Lady Panthers in points with 12 goals and 8 assists for 32 points. 

 

Teagan Kosinski - Sr. Midfield: Teagan runs the offense from the midfield, playing strong defense, while contributing 9 goals and 4 assists on the season.

 

Mackenzie Harmon - Jr GK: Mackenzie has been awesome in goal, compiling a 0.90 goals against average to go along with 7 shutouts so far.

 

Leah Wyant - Sr. Sweeper: Leah runs the defense, organizing our back line while playing stellar defense herself. Her speed and physicality are big reasons we are 10-2 to start the season.

 

Volleyball:  Tori Unverdorben 

From coach; Tori is a fantastic leader and all around great player, is still one of the top players to watch in NYS. 

Stats: 178 kills 189 Digs 44 Aces 

 

Jillian Stebbins

From coach: Jillian is the best team player I have ever coached, incredibly unselfish and supports all players even if it means it isn’t in her immediate best interest. 

Stats; 442 assists 68 Aces 55 Digs

 

Lillian Bentley;

From coach: who needs a Mercedes’ when you have a Bentley, great player and teammate. 

Stats: 128 Kills 41 Aces 18 Blocks

 

Ava Haynes:

From coach: Ava has worked hard to turn herself into one of the top players in the state and it’s paying off!

Stats:  145 Kills 174 Digs  44 Aces

These four seniors have led us to a 4 and 1 start. They all start on our defense, who has only allowed 3 touchdowns on the on year in regulation.
