Good Morning Portville Panthers!

It is a “ B “  Day

 Seniors: there will be a senior meeting on Friday during Period X in the high school cafeteria. We will be discussing the upcoming homecoming chicken BBQ. 

 

Reminder the PCS Soapbox Derby team will be racing in the Olean Area Soapbox Derby this Saturday, September 17th. Come out and show your support!

 

Art Society's first meeting will be today after school in room 103.  Please see Ms. Burdick if you have any questions.

 

There will be an International Club tomorrow during per X in the LECTURE HALL. New members grades 8 and up are welcome to attend! See Ms. Nolder for details.

The JV volleyball team fell short last night to St. Mary’s with a 1-2 loss. 

Ali Haynes led the panthers with 9 digs, 6 kills and 4 aces. Hanna Wysocki added 6 digs, 2 kills and an ace, while Gaitley Maiolo had 3 aces, 3 kills and Ana Haynes 6 digs and one ace. Addie Walker ran the offense with 8 assists. 

The panthers will host Jamestown this evening with a 6:00 start time. 

The Varsity Volleyball team takes down St. Mary’s of Lancaster in a 3 set sweep last night 25-19, 25-21, 26-24

The Panthers were led by Max Prep player of the match Tori Unverdorben with 15 kills and 21 digs, Ava Haynes also with a double double with 11 kills, 11 digs and 3 aces. Lillian Bentley had 6 kills and 3 aces and Jillian Stebbins’s ran the offense with 29 assists. The Panthers are now 4 & 0 for the season and will host Jamestown this evening at 7:30. 

The Volleyball program would like to thank all of the fans who came out to support them last night. 

The boys varsity soccer team rallied back after trailing 1-0 at halftime to defeat Randolph 2-1 despite some peculiar officiating. Mikey Cole tied the game with about 20 minutes left, and Mario Pascucci scored the game winner with 4 minutes remaining. 

Come support the boys as they take On Ellicottville in a match of the two teams that are unbeaten in the league, at home on Monday. This will also be our Red Card Cancer game, so come wearing your yellow and gold to show your support!

Congratulations to the girls JV soccer team on their 3-1 win against Genesee Valley. Scorers included Ashley Carls, Alana Petersen and Gianna Aloi. Nazara DeGolier and Gianna Aloi recorded assists. The girls take on Springville this Friday at 5. Come out and support!
