Good Morning Portville Panthers!

TODAY IS…Wednesday, September 7th, 2022

It is an “ B “  Day

 

Reminder to all students - There are NO SCHEDULE CHANGES allowed this week UNLESS you are MISSING A CLASS PERIOD on your current schedule then you can stop in the GUIDANCE COUNSELING CENTER.   If you want to just CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULE, you can stop in Guidance starting next Monday, September 12th to pick up your Add and Drop Sheet.

 

Attention students in grades 9-12.  Are you interested in being a class officer this year? If so, stop by the main office and grab a class officer application. Completed applications need be returned to the main office by the end of the school day on Wednesday, September 14th.

 

Attention all current 8-11th graders, you are eligible to travel on the International Club trip to Costa Rica in 2024.  If you are interested, send Ms. Nolder a message on teams and stay tuned for future updates.

Here is news from the PCS Sports World:

Sign ups for modified volleyball are outside of Mrs. Bantelman's room.  Any girl interested in trying out should sign up.  Try outs will begin next Monday 

 

The JV Volleyball team defeated Fredonia last night in 3 sets. 25-16,25-9 & 25-22

Ali Haynes led the panthers with 6 aces and 4 kills, while Addie Walker dished out 8 assists & 2 aces, Laney Vincent also added 3 kills and 2 aces, Ana Haynes had 7 digs, 2 aces  and 1 kill, Gaitley Maiolo also had 4 digs, 3 aces and 1 kill and Emma Pinney with 4 digs and 3 aces. 

The Panthers will travel to Dunkirk on Thursday. 

 

The Varsity Panther Volleyball team defeated Fredonia in 3 sets last night 

25-10,25-5,25-14 

Tori Unverdorben led the panthers with 11 digs, 7 kills and 4 aces. 

Lillian Bentley added 12 kills,

Adriana Ensell served for 15 points with 10 Aces and 2 kills while Ava Haynes added 10 digs 4 kills,  Jillian Stebbins 29 assists, 4 aces and Mia Rhinehart 7 aces 6 digs. 

The Panthers will travel to Dunkirk Thursday. 

 

Last night the girls varsity soccer team lost an overtime thriller to Allegany-Limestone 2 to 1 in overtime. Olivia Dean scored the Panther goal and Mackenzie Harmon recorded 7 saves. Portville heads to Ellicottville tomorrow.
