Students – check out the flyers throughout the building for Prom Festivities next week…..Monday – there is no school in remembrance of Memorial Day. So, Tuesday you return and it will be “MONOCROME DAY” - that means, you dress from head to toe in different hues of all the same color.

And the train keeps a rolling, the Modified Track train rolled again last night in Salamanca. Congrats to the following top finishers: Aiden Richardson, Daniel Van Buskirk, Paul Vos, Landon Dowd, Gabe Evans, Gunner Bigley, Luke Edwards, RJ Maxson, Kiyah Mohr, Alana Petersen, Gabby Phearsdorf, Addison Isaman, Peyton Rogers and Myleigh Jobe. Once again a great job by the whole team.
The Portville Varsity Softball Team finished its season 17-2 losing a hard fought battle to the Gowanda Panthers last night 5-3 in the Section VI Class C Semifinals. Gowanda struck first by way of a two run homerun in the top of the first inning. Portville answered scoring a run in the bottom of the frame. Due to some solid hits and savy base running Gowanda leaked in 3 runs in the third inning to up their lead to 5-1. Portville played solid defensively the rest of the way and held them scoreless in the remaining 4 innings. There was no quit in PCS as a Teagan Kosinski run in the 6th and a Sam Steadman double that scored a run in the 7th would bring the score to 5-3. Unfortunately Portville would get no closer. Portville Softball is so very proud of the effort and resolve this team has shown all season long. I would also like to thank the seniors (Codi Hatch, Mallory Welty, Caleigh Zollinger, Mia Welty, and Lizzie Chapman) for all of their contributions to the program. You will be sorely missed.
