Last night the varsity baseball team defeated Ellicottville 16 to 0 in 5 innings. POG Luke Petryszak threw a no-hitter, striking out 11. Ryan Stillman doubled and had 2 RBIs, Maxwell Yehl scored 3 runs, Nathan Petryszak, Dakota Mascho, and Grant Sharp scored 2 runs each, Luke Petruzzi had 2 RBIs, and Thomas Carls remains impossible to get out, getting hit by a pitch and driving in a run. Portville closes out the regular season on Thursday in Salamanca.

The Portville Varsity Softball team finished the regular season 16-1 outlasting Ellicotville in a 3-2 thriller tonight. Portville led 3-0 heading into the bottom of the seventh when some timely hits and uncharacteristic errors would allow the eagles to within striking distance. PCS showed no quit and was able grind out the victory. Congrats to “Golden Glove” Avery DeFazio for her great attitude and never ending hustle in the outfield. Tonight’s “Queen of the Plate” was Mia Welty who went 2- for  3 with an RBI. Stay tuned for the Lady Panthers post season match-ups as playoffs begin this week! Go Panthers!!
