Attention creative types, The after school program announces a rock painting series. Do you enjoy painting, drawing, being outside? Come to room 204 on May 17th from 3:45-3:45 for some colorful and inspirational fun with Ms. Nolder. In the first of a three part series, we will select a design, go out rock hunting, and clean our rocks to prepare for painting. For more information, see Ms. Nolder

Come climb to new heights at the Pierson Challenge course on May 19th after-school.
Also join us in Kayaking down the Allegheny River on May 24th after-school. Spots are limited for both the ropes course and kayaking. Sign-up outside of Mrs. Colligan’s office
Applications are now available for our PCS Summer recreation program. The program is scheduled to operate from July 11th -August 11th. Applicants should be at least 16 years of age and may require life guard certification. Applications can be picked up and should be dropped off in the elementary office no later than May 20th.
Students that signed up for the Buffalo Bisons Baseball game must have permission slips to attend. Please pick up a permission slip at the High School Main Office and return the completed form to Mrs. Baker. There are many of you that have not yet picked up your permission slips.
Reminder students in 7th – 12th Grade to sign up and enjoy Culinary Club with Mrs. Bantelman and Guest Chef Mrs. Torrey on Wednesday May 18th. We will be learning how to make cactus and succulent cupcakes.
Starting Wednesday, May 18th Miss Burdick and Mrs. Maxson will be holding puppetry workshops. If you’d like to participate, please sign up outside Mrs. Maxson’s room 120!
Last night the varsity baseball team enjoyed a Senior Night win, beating CattLV 14-4 in 5 innings. POG Luke Petruzzi struck out 8 in 4 innings, while adding 3 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs. Ryan Stillman closed it out on the mound for his first varsity pitching appearance, and contributing 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs. Maxwell Yehl had 2 hits including a triple, Michael Cole had 2 hits, 2 runs, and 3 stolen bases. Dakota Mascho scored 3 runs, Nathan Petryszak drove in 2, Nathan Carpenter had 2 RBIs, and Shaun Sanders scored the walkoff run in the 5th for Portville. The Panthers head to Silver Creek tomorrow.
Portville Softball continued its winning ways last night improving to 14-1 defeating Catt-LV 11-1 in the Panther Pitt. Congratulations to “Co-Golden Glove” recipients Caleigh Zollinger for her lockdown performance at second base and Alisha Dickerson for doing a stellar job closing out the final three innings on the mound for PCS. “Queen of the Plate” was Mallory Welty who went 2-3 with a triple, 2 RBI’s, and 2 runs. Portville next travels to West Valley on Saturday May 14th. Game time is 11:00am. Go Panthers!
