There will be a Prom Committee Meeting this Friday during Period X in Mrs. Welty’s room for any Juniors & Seniors interested in helping out. 

 

Shh……Quiet ………listen up please………Uncharted on a Playstation 5.  WWE 2K22 on an Xbox X.  Mario Kart 8 on a Nintendo Switch.  Do we have your attention?  There’s still time for anyone interested in joining Gamers club.  Sign up in the Technology Office, room 210.  Our first gathering will be this Friday from 5–8 PM.

 

Attention Seniors…It is Ecology Camp time!  If you would like to work with 6th grade kiddos and be outside to do all kinds of fun activities, please pick up an application from Mrs. Baker in the office.  It needs to be completed and returned to the main office by May 6th.    We are looking for 4 boys, 4 girls, and some extra seniors to help in the kitchen. 

 

Would you like to join in on some fun and a day of baseball?  Plans are in the works for a day at Bison Field.  We are planning to take a group of students in grades 9-12 to the Buffalo Bison’s Game on Sunday, May 22nd.  Any student interested in going – please sign up outside Mr. Matz classroom #205.  We need a head count by May 3rd – so don’t delay – sign up today!

Congratulations to both the girls and boys varsity track teams on their wins last evening against Catt/Little Valley and West Valley. The following athletes were top finisher from last evening: Chris Austin, Michael Fahnestock, Simon Szymanksi, Ben Isaman, Kyle North, Kaedon Holcomb, Parker Dornan, Bryan Randolph, Drake Kavanagh, Riley Horsely, Aiden Weimer, Natalie Maurer, Ava Haynes, Ava Edwrds, Natalie Isaman, Sam Bray, Aryanna Hatch, Jenna Wyant, Jessica Daley, Hailey Edwards, Julia Wyant, Kaidence Kinnaird, Megan Pagett, Zya DeGolier and Olivia Dean Good luck at the Falconer Invite on Friday. 

 

Last night the JV Lady Panthers softball team recorded its first win. They defeated Olean 7-6 in 8 innings. They were down in the game 5-0 when they mounted a come back. Down 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh they scored three runs to tie the game. Scoring were Kayden Long, Mindy Maurer, and Alexa Schoonover. Leading off the 8th was Izzy Laurich who came around to score the winning run. Bella Morales had a great game on the mound with Cierra Zenner behind the plate. Great job ladies. Next game is Thursday in Allegany. 

 

The Portville Varsity Softball team improved to 5-0 last night defeating North Collins 13-8. Mallory Welty was the winning pitcher tossing 8 strikeouts, 2 walks, and scattering 7 hits. Mallory also had a nice night at the plate going 4 for 6, with a double, a run, and 4 RBI’s. Helping the offensive endeavors for PCS was Teagan Kosinski, Mattison Foster, and Lizzie Chapman, who each went 2-4 and collectively added 5 runs, and 2 RBI’s for Portville. The Panthers will next host Ellicotville Thursday April 28th. Game time is 5:00pm. Go Panthers!
