Good Morning Portville Panthers!

 TODAY IS…Monday, April 4th, 2022                                                                           It is a “ C “  Day

 All Drama Club members and crew need to stop in Mrs. Maxson’s room today or tomorrow to pick up their personal items/costume pieces, signed posters and grab a slice of the cast party cake. All things must be gone before we leave for break Friday!

 

This Friday, in celebration of spring break, will be a Beach-Hawaiian Day. Remember, dress code must still be followed. There will be a dollar charge for hat day as well. It would be great if everyone celebrated the start to vacation!

 

Attention grades 7-12! Culinary Club has moved to Tuesdays, same time, same great fun and same great food!  Sign-up today, and we are looking for new members, so give it a try.

  

Reminder International Club travelers – Be sure to fill out your Netherlands entry forms prior to departure. See Ms. Nolder for details or assistance. Please you’re your calendar for our final departure meeting on April 6th library at 2:45 pm.

 

Attention Juniors & Seniors:  Prom will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Bartlett Country Club.  This is just a friendly reminder that your guest must be a Junior, a Senior, or a graduate.  The same holds true if you are bringing someone from another district.  Younger grade levels are not permitted to attend. 

 

The Portville Varsity Softball Team defeated Cuba-Rushford today 10-2 in the opening round of the Don Jordan Memorial Softball Tournament Saturday. Picking up the win on the mound and earning the “Golden Glove” was Mallory Welty who registered 10 strikeouts, scattered 2 hits, and had ZERO walks in six innings! Congrats to “Queen of the Plate” Mia Welty who went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, and two runs scored. Also leading the way offensively for PCS was Mattison Foster who went 2 for 4 with a triple, a single, and 2 runs scored. Mallory Welty chipped in 2 singles, a run, and an RBI to help the panthers cause as well. Portville next faces West Valley today at Allegany-Limestone game time is 4:30pm. GO PANTHERS!

  

On Saturday the varsity baseball team won the Allegany-Limestone tournament, defeating the host Gators 11 to 0 in five innings. Luke Petruzzi and Michael Cole combined on a no-hitter. Michael Cole added a homerun, Luke Petryszak had 4 hits including two doubles, Maxx Yehl had 3 hits, Drew Langdon tripled, and Dakota Mascho and Nathan Petryszak were perfect in on-base percentage. Maxwell, Michael, Luke Petruzzi, and Ryan Stillman were named to the All-Tournament Team. Great job boys. They head to North Collins today.
