Good Morning Portville Panthers!

TONIGHT IS THE FIRST NIGHT!  The Drama Club presents “Mary Poppins Jr.” to be held in our newly renovated auditorium tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday.  We hope to see you!

 

Attention grades 7-12! Culinary Club has moved to Tuesdays, same time, same great fun and same great food!  Sign-up today, and we are looking for new members, so give it a try.

 

Reminder International Club travelers – Be sure to fill out your Netherlands entry forms prior to departure. See Ms. Nolder for details or assistance. Please you’re your calendar for our final departure meeting on April 6th library at 2:45 pm.

 

Attention Juniors & Seniors:  Prom will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Bartlett Country Club.  This is just a friendly reminder that your guest must be a Junior, a Senior, or a graduate.  The same holds true if you are bringing someone from another district.  Younger grade levels are not permitted to attend. 

 

Reminder to girls interested in Modified Softball – there will be a meeting TODAY right after school in Mr. Milne’s Room. That is room 226.

 

The Portville Varsity Softball team opened up the season with a 13-3 victory over the Allegany-Limestone Gators. Senior captain Mallory Welty picked up the win on the mound and the “golden glove” for the game, tossing 6 strikeouts, scattering 7 hits, and only 1 walk. Congratulations to the “Queen of the Plate” Mattison Foster who went 4 for 5 with 3 singles, a triple, 4 RBI’s, and 3 runs. Also leading the offensive fire power for PCS was Maddison Ford who also went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, a single, 2 RBI’s, and 2 runs while Teagan Kosinski chipped in a double, 2 singles, 4 runs, and 2 stolen bases to help the panthers cause. Portville next travels to ALCS Saturday April 2nd to take on Cuba-Rushford in the first round of the Don Jordan Memorial Tournament. Game time is 2:00pm. GO PANTHERS!

 

Last night the varsity baseball team opened the season with an 11 to 3 win over Wellsville. Maxwell Yehl struck out 8 in 3 innings and had 2 hits. Michael Cole had a single double and a triple, Luke Petruzzi and Grant Sharp each had two hits, Hayden Emley had 2 RBIs, Joe Randolph tripled, and Ryan Stillman doubled. Portville looks to win the Allegany-Limestone Tournament championship on Saturday at 3:30. Great job!
