Good Morning Portville Panthers!

 TODAY IS…Wednesday, February 9th, 2022

It is a “ B ”  Day

 

 Students – with the new programs and clubs – you now can get transportation on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.    If you need to take the late, be sure to sign up in the office on that day.  Please note the bus comes at 4 pm to take you home. 

 

A reminder to Drama Club members – please check your Teams page daily for updates! Rehearsals continue today, in Mrs. Maxson’s room. Please make every effort to attend.

 

Students – Please note that this Friday’s Bell Schedule will run on an “X DAY” due to the Pep Rally.    Also,  Senior BOCES Students will be picked up 1:40 pm to come back to the school for the Pep Rally. 

 

Study Center for today and next Wednesday, February 16th will be held in Room 203 with Mrs. Smith.

 

Attention International Club travelers, there will be a virtual meeting on TEAMS February 15th at 7pm.   Please tune in with your parents for extremely important trip details. All travelers are encouraged to attend. Details, see Ms. Nolder

 

Culinary Club starts today and continues every Wednesday after school from 2:30-4:00.  Sign-up outside Mr. Mitchells room if interested.  Transportation home is available.

 

Another New After School Activity that is scheduled to take place TOMORROW.  It is “WALKING AND YOGA” with Mrs. VanCuren.  Spots are limited… if you are interested, please sign up in her Art Room.  Also, if you need transportation home, please make sure you sign up for the bus that day in the main office.

Join Mrs. Luther and Mrs. Mitchell for BOARD GAMES after school in the high-school library on Monday, February 14th and Monday, February, 28th. The sign-up sheet is located in Mrs. Luther's office.TIC TAC TOE your way over!! Signup today!!

 

SPIRIT WEEK continues.   The more students & faculty that participate, the better Spirit Week is!  Tomorrow IS PEACE & LOVE – so wear hippie clothes….tie-dye, sunglasses, flower crowns, headbands, or flare pants.  And as always, please follow the PCS Dress Code. 

 

Attention all students in grades 7-12: Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Don't get Friend Zoned this year and send the classy gift that will keep you out of the friend zone. Send a CandyGram! For a dollar, you can send a message to someone special, for 3 dollars, send a message and candy, and for the high rollers who want to take it to a new level, 5 dollars gets your Valentine a message, candy, and a song from one of our two cupids, Matteson Fries and Tom Carls. Get yours during lunch periods Monday through Thursday.

 

 Winter Weekend, titled “Cupid Shuffle” will be held on Saturday, February 12th from 8 to 11pm.  Tickets are on sale until THURSDAY the 11th, so if you want presale tickets, you must purchase by that day. Plan accordingly and do not wait until the last minute. Cost is $12 per person in advance or $15 per person at the door and can be purchased in Mrs. Welty’s room. If you intend on bringing someone from a different school, you must pick up a permission form from the office to have their home district administrator sign and then bring it to Mrs. Welty. Once again, do NOT wait until the last minute. As a reminder, the dance is for students in grades 9th through 12th only and proper semi-formal attire is to be worn.
