Good Morning PCS Panthers…

 TODAY is Monday, March 4, 2024                                     It is an “ E “  Day.

 

Friday’s trivia question was:  What Cattaraugus County woman has her name on a building at Cornell University, advised the federal government on in DC on food and clothing conservation during WW1 and was awarded the Chevalier of the Order of the Crown by the king of Belgium for her work on nutritional needs of women and children in the country.  The answer:  Martha Van Rensselaer, a pioneer in the field of home economics and extension education.  She was born in Randolph, NY in 1864.  She was a teacher and school commissioner for Cattaraugus County and was buried in the family plot in Randolph in 1932.     Chase Caldwell and Jacob McHenry got the answer correct this week.

Congratulations to Hunter Bilby who took third place at the Alfred State Science Fair on Friday. Hunter built a working Tesla Coil and had to present his project to several judges throughout the competition before he was awarded third place. Way to go Hunter!
