Good Morning PCS Panthers… 

TODAY is Thursday,    February 8th, 2024.                          It is an “ A“  Day.

 

Chorus lessons today are:

Pd 3- Altos

Pd 7- Allie R

Pd 8 -Alana

2:30- Junior High and High School All-Country Chorus

 

Study Center will be held in Mrs. Kosinski’s Room today – Room 236. 

After School Detention will be held with Mrs. McCoy in Room 221.


Reminder to all Juniors, your order forms for our fundraiser are due Monday, February 12th to Mrs. Luce or Mr. Mitchell. Remember to put the fun in fundraising and keep selling!

 

Culinary Club sign-up is up for Wednesday, February 21st for our next meeting. Be sure to sign-up by Monday, February 19th. We will be working with an old favorite- Asian Lettuce Wraps!

 

Looking for something to do on President’s Day, Monday February 19th? Portville will be taking students, grades 7-12, to see the Buffalo Sabre’s take on the Anaheim Ducks.  Spots are limited to the first 30 people.  Please sign-up in the high school office.  See Mrs. Sosnowski or Mrs. Morella, room 201, for details.

 

REMINDER 7TH AND 8TH  GRADERS!!! There will be a dance, just for you, TOMORROW from 6:00-8:00 PM in the high school gym. Cost is $3 per person at the door and bring a little extra spending money for pizza and snacks. This fun event is brought to you by the Class of 2025. 

 

Now for your PCS Sports News….

ATTENTION any girls interested in signing up for Modified, JV, or Varsity softball sign up sheets are posted outside of Coach Torrey’s room.

 

The boys 7th grade modified team lost 27 to 14 against Ellicottville last night.  Zach Morella scored 8 points and did an excellent job running point.  Josh Austin chipped in 2 points and Ryan Dillon was 2-2 from the free throw line. 

The 8th grade boys put up an excellent fight against Ellicottville but lost 36-26.   Eli Truman scored 8 points and played excellent defense. Lucas Glover chipped in 4 points and came thru big on the boards.  Sean Gardner and Nick Edwards did an excellent job in the 4th quarter effort on defense.  Both teams keep up the hard work.  Both teams play again this Friday at Salamanca.  They may have some energy left for the dance this Friday. Boys bring your basketball sneakers and your dancing shoes. 

 

REMINDER that students should not have their cellphones, headphones, or airpods out in class or while traveling in the hallways.      Again – NO PHONES, APPLE WATCHES, HEADPHONES OR AIRPODS SHOULD BE OUT WHILE IN CLASS OR IN THE HALLS!
