TODAY is Wednesday,  February 7th, 2024.   It is an “ F “  Day.

Attention aspiring chefs in grades 7-12. The next Culinary Club is Today right after school. We will be baking Chewy Maple Cookies and Coconut Macarons.

 

Looking for something to do on President’s Day, Monday February 19th? Portville will be taking students, grades 7-12, to see the Buffalo Sabre’s take on the Anaheim Ducks.  Spots are limited to the first 30 people.  Please sign-up in the high school office.  See Mrs. Sosnowski or Mrs. Morella, room 201, for details.

 

REMINDER 7TH AND 8TH  GRADERS!!! There will be a dance, just for you, this Friday, February 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM in the high school gym. Cost is $3 per person at the door and bring a little extra spending money for pizza and snacks. This fun event is brought to you by the Class of 2025. 

 

Now for your PCS Sports News….

 Spring sports physicals are TODAY.  If you are planning on playing a spring sport and you need a physical, please sign up today in the nurse's office. 

 

"If you are interested in playing Modified or JV Baseball, please sign up outside of Mr. Pleakis' room."

 ATTENTION any girls interested in signing up for Modified, JV, or Varsity softball sign up sheets are posted outside of Coach Torrey’s room. REMINDER you MUST have your physical and code of conduct taken care of PRIOR to trying out! If you need a physical spring sports physicals are taking place TODAY. NO PHYSICAL = NO TRYOUT. ATTENTION SENIOR BASKETBALL PLAYERS:  Your senior profile sheets are due to Mrs. Welty no later than NOON TODAY.  Do NOT wait to get them filled out and handed in so we can be ready to celebrate you next week!

 

Congratulations to the boys bowling team on finishing 2nd in Roll-offs out of 23 teams! Also a special congratulations to Milo Backus for having the Highest Handicap series out of everyone with a 697!!

 

FINALLY – REMINDER that students should not have their cellphones, headphones, or airpods out in class or while traveling in the hallways.    Teachers – you should discipline write ups if you see students with devices in use or out in view.  Again – NO PHONES, APPLE WATCHES, HEADPHONES OR AIRPODS SHOULD BE OUT WHILE IN CLASS OR IN THE HALLS!
