Good Morning PCS Panthers…

TODAY is Friday, September 29th, 2023.                                         It is an “ F “  Day

 

Attention music students:

Your cookie dough orders and money are due TODAY!!!

Your concert clothes need to be taken home by the end of today!  Be sure to get them after the pep rally!!

 

THE HOMECOMING DANCE IS  SATURDAY FROM 8PM TO 11PM .    Ticket prices are $15 per person at the door.  This is a semi-formal dance so proper attire is required … NO JEANS AND NO HATS.

 

listen up all you Hockey Fans…. On October 21st, the Sabres take on the Islanders at Key Bank Arena!  We are planning to take a group of 25 students.  This is a Saturday evening game – the bus will leave Portville around 4 pm and return to the school around Midnight.  Anyone in grades 9-12 interested in going, please sign up in the high school main office.  Seats are limited, so be sure to get your name on the list. 

 

On Friday, Oct. 6th , we've planned a very cool adventure for 7-12 students. We're headed to Watkins Glen State Park to see the gorge & the falls, and then have lunch; after that, we'll head over to the Watkins Glen International Racetrack to preview some race car activity on the track! See Mr. Mitchell to sign-up and don't forget your permission slip. 

 

 Attention 7-12 students: Would you like to explore America's ONLY underwater cavern; defeat Miner's Maze; and tour a Wildlife Park? We'll be traveling to PENN's Cave and Wildlife Park on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023. See Mr. Mitchell to sign up.

 

 Now for your PCS Sports News:

 The Panther volleyball team defeated  olean last night 

25-2, 25-10, 25-12

Lilian Bentley  had 14 kills, 2 aces

Ava Haynes 5 kills, 4 aces, 9 digs 

Mia Rhinehart with a double double serving for 28 points, 10 aces, and 10 digs 

 


Adelyn Walker  ran the offense with 32 assist and Ali Haynes added 6 kills, 2 blocks. Mac Prep player of the match was Brielle Fidurko with 8 kills. 

The Panthers, now 9 & 1 will host Jamestown on Tuesday at 6:30 for their PINK OUT match. Please come out and support a great cause. 

 

 The JV volleyball team defeated Olean 3-0 last night. Marissa Carls led the offense with 11 assists and 3 aces, Alynna Johnson added 6 kills, 4 aces and Leigha Stives 3 kills, 3 aces and 2 blocks. 

The Jv team will host Jamestown on Tuesday for their PINK OUT match at 5:00.
