Good Morning PCS Panthers…

Attention Students in 7th thru 12th…..STUDY CENTER has started…..   Today it will be held in Room 224 with Mr. Brennan.  Mondays and Wednesdays – it will be in the Art Room with Mrs. VanCuren and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it will be held in Room 224 with Mr. Brennan.  We have the late buses starting today too.  The Late bus is available Mondays thru Thursdays but you must sign up in the main office if you plan on staying after for Study Center or other after school programs.   Please sign up by 2:45 pm. 

 

Chess Club starts on Thursday, 9/28. Sign up in Mr. Steighner's classroom! 

 

Are you interested in learning about beekeeping? Mr Canfield is starting a beekeeping club on Tuesday, 9/26, after school. Please sign up outside of his classroom! 

 

Culinary Club is back!!! Sign-up today outside of Mr. Mitchell’s room. First meeting is TOMORROW right after school.

 

ATTENTION 7-12 students….  If anyone is interested in going to see the movie “Oppenheimer”, THIS THURSDAY - September 21st afterschool, please sign up outside of Mrs. Smith’s room 203.”

 

The Western New York College Consortium will be at PCS on September 21st.   The presentation will be held in the John Dubot’s Room at 11:00 AM.  Please be prompt.  All interested juniors and seniors are welcome to attend.

 

Attention academic scholars, smart kids & trivia fans! The following is the Academic Club’s question of the day:

If you’re a Jeopardy master or an up and coming scholar who knows a thing or two, show off your skills and get credit for your knowledge. The Academic Club is looking for new recruits! 

 

The Academic Club lets you flex your mental muscles in the areas of Literature, Science, Math, History, Current Events, Trivia, and more.

 

Signing up couldn’t be easier. Simply stop in at the main office, and print your name and contact information on the Academic Club sign-up sheet now through Friday, September 22. Spaces are limited, so sign up soon. Successful applicants will be contacted directly.  Practices are held weekly on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Late bus transportation will be available if needed…

 

By the way, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr were collectively known as The Beatles.  Right or wrong, sign up for the Academic Club in the main office today!

Now for some Sports News:

The girls' modified soccer team won 4-2 against Salamanca. Goals were scored by Lillyana Everitt, Anna Faulkner and Quinn Scott. Both offense and defense had an amazing game and worked hard! Nice work ladies!"

 

The modified girls volleyball team won their first match last night against Randolph beating them in all 5 games. Lainee Thompson led the way with 5 kills and 4 aces.  Lillian Deck, Emily Scanlon and Myra Ubelhear each added 5 aces as well.  Nice job Ladies.

 

The JV football team picked up their first victory of the season last night against a tough Fredonia squad. The defense led the way by scoring two touchdowns for the Panthers. Sabre Hearne scored on a pick six while Zack Green scooped and scored on a fumble recovery. The offense was led by Hearne, Adam Roe, and a gritty performance by the offensive line to run out the clock late in the game. The Panthers are back in action on a short week when they square off with Lakeshore, this Saturday, with the home game being at Cuba-Rushford at 10am!
