Good Morning PCS Panthers…

 TODAY is Wednesday,  September 13th, 2023.   It is an “ F “  Day

 

Reminder to all students –  If you want to  CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULE, you can stop in Guidance starting TODAY.  You will need to get the ADD / DROP forms and turn back in by September 18th

 

Attention students.  If anyone is interested in going to see the movie “Oppenheimer”, next Thursday September 21st afterschool, please sign up outside of Mrs. Smith’s room 203.”

 

Juniors and Seniors interested in art competitions and scholarships, please see Mrs. Van Curen. “A Day in the life of a School Bus is due by Oct. 9.”

 

If anyone in grades 9th through 12th does not wish to be on the Homecoming Court ballot, please send Mrs. Welty a chat in TEAMS requesting your name be removed from the list. 

 

ATTENTION STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBERS: We will be having a meeting TODAY during Period X in the library. Homecoming is on the agenda so please come with ideas. 

 

For Any junior interested in taking the PSAT, sign-ups are being held in the Guidance Office between now and October 6th.  In order to sign up, you will need $18.  Please bring the exact amount as we do not have change.

 

Attention juniors and seniors:  If you are interested in taking the ASVAB on October 23, please sign up in the Guidance Office before October 13th.  The test is free.

 

The Western New York College Consortium will be at PCS on September 21st.   The presentation will be held in the John Dubot’s Room at 11:00 AM.  Please be prompt.  All interested juniors and seniors are welcome to attend.

 

The first Drama Club meeting and auditions for the fall play will be TODAY after school in the auditorium. We always welcome new members - both actors and stage crew. If you are interested, please attend! 

 

There will be an international Club meeting in the HS Library during period x on September 18th. New and previous members are welcome to attend. Any questions, see Ms. Nolder or send a message on teams.

 

Attention Freshman Class – If you are interested in running for CLASS OFFICER, please stop by the main office to pick up an application.  Be sure to turn completed forms to the High School Office by the end of the day on TODAY. 

 

Students interested in joining Art Society, our first meeting will be TOMORROW from 2:30-3:30 in room 103.  See Ms. Burdick for more information.

 

Attention 7-12 Students:

Do you love painting and drawing, ceramics, and creative coffee. ART360 is offered by the Wellsville Creative Arts Center on Tuesday nights, starting on October 10th, from 6:00-7:30PM. No experience necessary.   Transportation is available. Sign up before this FRIDAY in Mrs. VanCuren's Art Room. Again – sign up this FRIDAY !!!

 

 Congratulations to the girls jv soccer with their 5-0 victory over Genesee Valley last evening. Alexa Schoonover and Samantha Bray each had a goal, while Allison Bray had a hat trick, with one of her goals being assisted by Lexi Linn. Bella Morales and Kiyah Mohr shared a shutout in goal. 

 

The Varsity Volleyball team defeated southwestern 25-17, 25-21, 25-13.  Ava Haynes had a double double with 12 kills, 12 digs, while Adelyn Walker added 33 assists, Mia Rhinehart contributed 11 digs and 3 aces, Hanna Wysocki added 3 aces and max prep player of the match Lillian Bentley had 19 kills , 5 aces and 5 digs.  The panthers are now 3 & 1 and will host Allegany Limestone at home on Thursday 6:00 start time. 

 

 The JV volleyball team defeated Southwestern 2-1 last night. Laney Vincent had 7 kills 5 aces and Marissa Carls led the offense with 13 assists and 3 aces.        The team will host Allegany Limestone on Thursday at 5:00.  

 

The JV football team lost a hard fought 32-0 contest to the Depew Wildcats last evening. The score does not reflect how hard the team fought as it was only 18-0 into the fourth quarter. The team was led offensively by Nick Carpenter and Adam Roe on the ground. Defensively, Ty Kosinski, Iziah Edmond, Sabre Hearne, Darren Spring, and Cam Hendley contributed stellar defensive performances. The Panthers will be back in action Monday, 9/18 at Home against Fredonia at 6pm.
