Good Morning and Portville Panthers!

It is a “ B“  Day 

Attention varsity athletes: the sports banquet is this Thursday, June 8th at 6pm at Good Times. Please see Mrs Colligan for your ticket this week. Parent and other family members tickets are on sale in the main office for $20.

 Saturday, the PCS Soapbox Derby team competed in the All-American Soapbox Derby Race in Jamestown. Congratulations to Carter Bauer, Lucas Lyons, Alex Edick, August Smith-Metler, and Olivia Artlip who all posted victories competing against over 50 of the area's best Soapbox Derby teams. At the end of a day of highly competitive racing Lucas Lyons ended up finishing 3rd in the Stock STEM Division and Olivia Artlip brought home the runner up position finishing 2nd in the Super Stock STEM division falling by a mere 50-thousands of a second in the championship race. 

  To celebrate a GREAT school year, we have scheduled an after-school movie adventure for this Thursday, June 8th to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 movie- a popcorn and a drink are included. Sign up with Mr. Steighner and grab a permission slip. Find out if this mission leads to the end of the Guardians as we know them. 

 Congratulations to all the athletes that competed at the Section VI State Qualifying Meet at West Seneca West over the weekend. 


Aryanna Hatch placed 6th in the 400 meter hurdles and 14th in the 100 meter hurdles

 Julia Wyant placed 8th in the 200 meter dash

 Bryan Randolph placed 9th in high jump 

 Samantha Bray placed 14th in the 2000 meter steeplechase 

 Brady German placed 11th in the 800 meter run 

 Ava Haynes placed 11th in the 800 meter run 

 The Boys 1600 meter relay team (Simon Szymanski, Brady German, Ben Isaman, and Bryan Randolph) placed 

 

The Girls 400 meter relay team (Jessica Daley, Airiana Whittaker, Julia Wyant, and Jenna Wyant)  placed 4th 

 

 the Girls 1600 meter relay team (Jessica Daley, Aryanna Hatch, Jenna Wyant, and Julia Wyant) placed 3rd 

 

And last but not least, Jenna Wyant placed 2nd in the 400 meter dash and hit the super state standard with time of 58.21 seconds. She will travel this coming weekend to compete in the New York State track and field championship in Middletown. Good luck Jenna!
