It is an “ F “  Day

Great news….Elise Nothem won the bookmark contest for Healthy Cattaraugus County!  She won a $50 Amazon card and her bookmark will be copied and distributed throughout libraries located in Cattaraugus County.   Way to go Elise!!

 There is one spot open for summer driver’s ed.  If you are interested see Mrs. McCracken right after the announcements.

 

TOMORROW IS THE after school trip to Miller’s Market.   Come with us to make your very own herb and lettuce garden.  Each participant will receive and arrange their own compostable garden box with your choice of herbs and lettuce plantings.  SEE MRS. NOLDER IF INTERESTED.

 Any girls in grades 7-11 that are interested in participating in Football cheer, please sign up by Mrs. Colligan's office. 

 

The Portville Lady Panthers advanced to the Section VI Class C Semifinals defeating Catt-LV 2-0 in the Panther Pit last night. Alisha Dickerson picked up the win in the circle tossing 11 strikeouts, 5 walks, and allowing only 2 hits. Congrats to “Golden Glove” Mattison Foster for her continued efforts behind the plate. PCS was led offensively by “Queen of the Plate” Sam Steadman who went 3 for 3, with 2 doubles, a single, and an RBI. Mattison Foster also went 3 for 3, with 3 singles, and an RBI, while Teagan Kosinski chipped in a single, and a run, and Madison Ford added a single as well to help the panthers cause. Portville next hosts Chautauqua Lake in the section VI class C semifinals on Wednesday May 24th. Game time is 5:00pm. GO PANTHERS!!


The varsity track team traveled to Falconer for a two day CCAA meet over the weekend. 

Many congratulations to be given out to our hardworking athletes. Many athletes hit their own personal records or hit the provisional time for the state qualifying meet.

Congratulations to the athletes that were named Division II All-stars: Bryan Randolph, Simon Szymanski, Ben Isaman, Aryanna Hatch, Ava Haynes, Jenna Wyant, and Julia Wyant

Sportsmanship award winners were Samantha Bray and Michael Fahnestock

BOTH the boys and girls teams were awarded the TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP award in the Division II voted by the other schools.

Jenna Wyant broke the school record for the 400 meter dash that she previously broke last year. The new record time is 58.94 seconds!

Aryanna Hatch placed 2nd by coming down to the thousandths of a second in the 400 meter hurdles. She also placed 5th in the 100 meter hurdles 

Julia Wyant placed 3rd in the 200 meter dash 

Ava Haynes placed 7th in the 800 meter run and 8th in high jump 

Samantha Bray placed 8th in the 1500 meter run 

The 3200 meter relay team consisting of Ava Haynes, Natalie Isaman, Addison Isaman, and Samantha Bray placed 8th 

The 400 meter relay team consisting of Olivia Dean, Airiana Whittaker, Julia Wyant, and Jenna Wyant placed 3rd

The 1600 meter relay team consisting of Ava Haynes, Aryanna Hatch, Jenna Wyant, and Julia Wyant placed 1st 

Bryan Randolph placed 5th in the high jump
