Culinary club sign-up sheet is up for our next cooking adventure on Monday, October 17th.  Skillet Apple Pie is the dish. Don’t delay sign up today! Sign-up sheet is outside Mr. Mitchell’s room.

Reminder to students that would like to stay after for Study Center – it will be held in Mr. Brennan’s Room 224.    If you need to take the late bus, be sure to sign up in the office right after school. 

 Students in Grades 7-12… remember to Sign up to go to the Nightmare Hayride, Haunted Maze and Haunted Barn on October 23rd if you like a good scare!  Sign ups are located outside of the Guidance Office.

 Attention Juniors and Seniors… If you are interested in taking the ASVAB on October 24th, please sign up in the Guidance Office before October 14th.  The test is free.

 "The modified girls soccer team won 3-0 against the Salamanca Warriors last night. Kiyah Mohr had two goals and Airiana Whittaker had one. Great work ladies!"

 Congratulations to the girls JV soccer team with their 7 to 0 victory over Cuba-Rushford last evening. Alexa Schoonover and Bella Morales shared a shutout in goal, While Ashley Carls had a hat trick, Zya DeGolier had two goals, and Alexa Schoonover and Ava Jo Edwards each had a goal. Assists were from Alexa Schoonover, Sam Bray, Allie Bray, Ava Jo Edwards and Emma Rhinehart. The girls finish their season this evening against Springville. 


Last night the girls varsity soccer team beat Salamanca 5 to nothing, and in doing so, clinched the CCAA league title. Olivia Dean, Grace Gariepy, Gianna Aloi, Teagan Kosinski, and Jessica Daley each scored, while Meghan Lyle added 3 assists and Leah Faulkner had 1. Mackenzie Harmon recorded two saves in the shutout. Maddison Collins won the Minion Award for stepping in to the starting lineup and stepping up her play, playing tenacious defense all night. Portville closes out the regular season tomorrow against Randolph. 

 

The JV Volleyball team defeated Jamestown last night 3-0.  

Ali Haynes led the team with 7 kills, 5 digs and 3 aces, Laney Vincent added 8 aces and 4 kills, Maddy Baldwin 4 kills, 2 aces and Marissa Carls ran the offense with 12 assists and 2 aces.   The Panthers will host Falconer Thursday at 5:00. 

 

Portville Varsity defeated Jamestown last night  25-17, 25-11, 25-10.  Lillian Bentley led the team with 14 kills, 2 blocks and 2 aces.  Ava Haynes added 9 kills, 6 aces, Tori Unverdorben 7 kills, 10 digs, 4 aces, Sam Steadman 4 kills and Mia Rhinehart 6 aces, 8 digs and Jillian stebbins ran the offense with 28 assists. The Panthers now 12 & 0 will host Falconer on Thursday at 6:30.
