Auditions for the Drama Club’s Spring musical – Mary Poppins Jr. will be held TODAY afterschool.

 

There will be no Art Society today.

 

There is a Student Council meeting during Period X today in the library.

 

Chorus lesson today are:  Pd 1: Ana, Pd 6: James,  Pd 7: Toni

Pd 9: Allison,  Pd X: make- up lesson for Lucas, Jackson, Gabe, Trevor, Nathaniel, Ana, Annaelise, Miesha, and Journey

 

This Sunday the Indoor Ropes course in the south gym will be open from 10:00-1:00.  Come climb with us! Its Free! 

 

Sign ups for 7th and 8th grade boys modified basketball are now in Mr. Brennan’s room #224.    Please come and sign up before or after school this week.

 

This past weekend the Portville Varsity Wrestling team began its season off with a great win at the Avoca Dual Meet Tournament. The Panthers won all five matches defeating Williamson/Sodus 42-27 in the finals. Their closest match came in their second match against Marcus Whitman/PenYan where they won 36-33. Going undefeated on the weekend were Sam Zeigler 5-0 with three falls, Mario Pascucci 5-0 with four falls, Drew Langdon 5-0 with three falls, and Dakota Mascho 5-0 with three falls.  First year wrestler Lucas Scanlon was 4-1 with two falls and Nick Manroe, Hayden Emely, and Hank "The Tank" Chamberlain all went 3-2 with 3 falls each. It was a great start for the panthers and many wrestlers stepped up big in close matches. The Panthers host Frewsburg here Wednesday night at 6pm. Great job Panthers. Let's get back to work. 

The girls A-L/Olean/Portville bowling team last night went 4-0 against Ellicottville. Emma Pinney shot a 345 series and Kiyah Mohr shot a 390 series.  Nice job girls! Next match is Thursday against Gowanda.

 

The 7th grade modified lost a close game vs A-L last night.  Ella Zeigler led the team with 7 points, Addison Isaman had 4 points, Lauren Lyle added 3 points and Peyton Rogers had 2 points.  

 

The 8th grade modified won vs A-L last night.  Madison Ford and Bell Morales led the offense with 18 and 16 points respectively. Alexa Schoonover added 8 points and Lauren Lyle, Alexis Lin, Maddy Faulkner and Nazara DeGolier each added 2 points.  Nice job to both teams!
