Attention Juniors and Seniors…TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP for the ASVAB test.  The ASVAB will be given on Monday Oct. 25th

 

Attention sophomores: we will be having a class meeting to discuss our fall fundraiser on Monday during period x in the cafeteria. Any questions, see Mr. Torrey.

 

ANYONE in grades 7 thru 12 can sign up now for Wrestling outside Coach Milne or Coach Burlingame's room. If you are unsure just stop and speak with one of the Coaches. Modified season runs through November and December and is open to ALL 7th & 8th Graders.  Also, Female wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in the country and our section and state has committed to providing all female tournaments. Portville has a long successful history in wrestling with several Sectional and State Place finishers. Come be part of making Portville Panther History.

 

The Student Council in conjunction with the American Red Cross is hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, November 2nd from 8AM to 2PM in the High School Gym.  Anyone age 16 and older is eligible to donate.  Please see Mrs. Welty to get the proper paperwork and get signed up.  There is an urgent need for blood and this is a perfect opportunity for you to do a good deed and help save lives.  Please consider donating!

 

Attention students …..Come and hangout tonight from 5pm-10pm & tomorrow 12 noon to 10pm, at the Allegany Fireman’s Park at 118 West Main Street in Allegany. It’s spookiest time of the year to enjoy food, cider, vendors, carnival rides and more!!

There will be a Freaky Circus Show tonight at 6pm and a BMX Bike Stunt Show tomorrow at 2pm & 6pm.

Cost to get in is $15 for unlimited carnival rides and the Freaky Circus Show. A weekend pass is $25 for both shows and unlimited carnival rides!

 

The JV volleyball team finished their season last night defeating olean 3-0

Adriana Ensell 8 kills, 3 aces, Brielle Fidurko added 5 kills, 4 aces and 2 blocks, Ali Haynes 3 kills, 1 ace and Addie Walker and Hanna Wysocki ran the offense with 6 assists a piece. 

Congrats on a great season. 

  

The varsity Volleyball team defeated Olean last night 25-16, 25-8, 25-8

 

Olivia cook had 11 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks

Lillian Bentley 5 kills, 5 aces, 6 digs

MaxPreps player of the match Kylie Blessing ran the offense with 35 assists, & 6 aces 

The Volleyball team would like to thank their seniors Kylie Blessing and Lizzie Chapman for all of their time and dedication to the volleyball program. You will be greatly missed next season. 

 

The boys varsity soccer team defeated Frewsburg last night 2-0. Freshman Brady German scored off a great effort by Michael Cole, who beat two defenders and found Brady, who was at the right place at the right time. With 2 minutes remaining, Michael Cole then beat two defenders and scored one of his own to seal the deal for the Panthers. The boys will play in the semifinals on Monday against Maple Grove, at Eden high school at 5pm. Let’s keep it goin boys!
