It is a “ B ” Day
Attention all Portville Panthers: This Thursday, February 18th is the 100th Day of School. You heard that right….we have been here for ONE-HUNDRED DAYS! In celebration of this achievement, the Student Council is encouraging all students to decorate their own shirts to be worn this day. You might just put a big 100 on the front. Maybe you will be creative and attach 100 items, such as sewing lifesavers to the shirt. There will be prizes for three students that have the best designs! The faculty and staff here at PCS are proud of how we have handled the pandemic and feel as though we should celebrate. Besides the t-shirts, the Student Council would like to have the high school students, perform 100 random acts of kindness throughout the day. If you do something thoughtful for someone in the building, you can grab a Panther paw from any of the Math teachers. They will have markers for you to write down your friendly deed and we will place them in the hallway from the Main Office to the Weight Room. There are almost 500 students in the building, so 100 acts of kindness should be an easy task for us to accomplish. Once again, we will be doing both of these things on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH!
Seniors…… Your ski-trip permission slips and money are due TODAY to Mr. Brooks or Mr. Burlingame.
Reminder to Junior and Senior BOCES Students: If you wish to take advantage of the OPTION #2 school dismissal offer for next week – you need to turn in written notes signed by your parent. This is due by Tuesday, February 16th. If notes are not turned in, then you will be reporting to PCS for the entire day.
The JV Lady Panther basketball team started out the season with a 54-13 win over Ellicottville. Leading the way was Ave Haynes scoring 12 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals.
