Girls Soccer:

Karly Welty - 6 goals and 2 assists

Courtney Lyle - 4 goals and 2 assists

Both girls have given maximum efforts through the first 9 games, scoring goals and tallying assists for the team. Furthermore, with injuries on the team, they’ve contributed significantly while only getting short breaks off the field here and there.

Boys Soccer:

Michael Cole- Halfway through the season, freshman Michael Cole is our leading scorer with 5 goals. He scored the first two goals in our victory against Cuba-Rushford, and had a hat trick against Randolph.

Todd Stone- Todd is quickly learning how to become a shutdown defender. Against Allegany-Limestone, Todd shut down the leading scorer of our league.

Trey Williams-Trey’s hard work in the middle allows us to transition from defense to offense. His ability to distribute the ball is what generates our offense. Trey also had goals against Cuba-Rushford and Randolph.

Kirk Hall-Kirk brings a physical presence to our team. His hard work and hustle while pressuring opposing defenses forces many turnovers. He also has 3 goals on the season.

Swimming: Shannen Stein--Has set personal best times in the relays and is swimming close to her personal best in her individual

Emma Mikolaczyk--Great team attitude accepting her ever changing role on the team.

Cheerleaders: Autumn Gagliardo- takes in a leadership role , always helps , choreographs, great cheerleader, made All American Shannon Rochaelu - the rock , always protects the flyer - amazing back spotter, never lets a flyer hit the floor Allison George- enthusiastic, doesn’t complain , always smiles, makes every banner and locker sign, willing to help everyone, she’s always prepared Torianne Morrow- works hard, tries her best, willing to base, spot or fly wherever needed, balances two sports- soccer and cheer.

Football: After the Month of September Portville leads all of Section 6 in rushing touch downs because of the blocking from the offensive line that is made up of:Jared Zenner   Hunter Saltsman   Julian Morales   Levi Ganoung   and Caleb Stromberg

Congratulation to each of our Athletes of the Month! Please see Mrs. Colligan today for your t-shirt and certificate.
