Good Morning and Portville Panthers!

Next week is our last Spirit Week of the School Year.  Check out the flyers posted around the halls to see what the Daily Theme is.  As always, students must follow the school dress code.  Monday’s theme is “Dress as your favorite Music Genre, Favorite Singer, or Band.”

 

Counselor applications for our PCS Summer recreation are DUE in the Elementary Office TODAY.

 

TODAY …. Is the gathering of Gamer’s Club from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library.  For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.

 

Do you like the outdoors??? Do you like to hike??  Please come and join Mrs. Bantelman and Mrs. VanCurran for a hike and dinner up at Pfeiffer nature center next Wednesday May 17th. We will leave the school at 3:30 and return at 5:30 PM. Please see Mrs. Bantelman for a permission slip and more information. 

 

Attention all students …Any student hoping to help out with the Mike McGreevy Adopt a Highway program, sign up outside the main office. This is an easy and fun way to help keep our community beautiful. See Ms Nolder for details.

 

Attention Urban Air participants!!! Permission slips and waivers need to be turned in to Mr. Mitchell ASAP.

 Reminder that Portville will be taking students to a Buffalo Bison’s game on Friday, June 2nd.  You can enjoy some food, Baseball, and fireworks. Please sign up outside of Mrs Morella’s room, 201, by May 19th and return the permission slip as soon as possible.

 

Now for our PCS Spring Sports News:

The Portville Lady Panthers improved to 10 and 4 defeating North Collins on the road last night. Alisha Dickerson (8 K’s, 3 walks, & 4 hits) and Bella Morales (1 K, 2 walks, 2 hits) combined for the win in the circle. Senior Sam Steadman earned “Golden Glove” for her stellar play in the field which included turning a double play. Leading the offensive endeavors for PCS was “Queen of the Plate” Teagan Kosinski who went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, 3 RBI’s, and 3 runs. Mattison Foster went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, 2 RBI’s, and 2 runs, while Kelsey Bradford chipped in 2 singles and 2 runs, and Madison Ford added 2 singles, 3 RBI’s, and 2 runs. Portville next travels to West Valley today May 12th. Game time is 5:00pm. GO PANTHERS!!

 

The Portville Modified Track and Field opened their season last Saturday at the Port Allegany Invitational. Congratulations to the following athletes for placing in their events.

Josh Perkins, Gabe Evans, Ana Haynes in two events and Peyton Rogers. Last evening, they competed against Franklinville and Gowanda. Congratulations for the following athletes placing in their events Zionea Johnson, Adelaide Jeffers, Alana Everitt, Ana Haynes, Sophia Milligan, Peyton Rogers, Lillian Smith and Kaylin Elliott. For the boys, Keegan Williams, Gunner Bigely, Thomas Mackey and Josh Perkins.
