Good Morning and Portville Panthers!

Attention Seniors… Mrs. Brooks, our cafeteria manager would like to know what your favorite meals are so she  can put them on the menu before you leave PCS.  Please jot it down and drop it off to a cashier sometime next week, and she will work them into her menu.

 

Applications are now available for our PCS Summer recreation program. The program is scheduled to operate from July 10th -August 10th.  Applicants should be at least 16 years of age and may require life guard certification. Applications can be picked up and should be dropped off in the elementary office no later than May 12th .

 

Don't miss the opportunity to see The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Friday, May 12th. The bus leaves from school at 3:00PM; a drink and a popcorn are included.   Sign-up and grab a permission slip from Mr. Steighner.

 

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: an after-school trip to Urban Air Adventure Park. There are trampolines, a warrior course, and battle beams- also enjoy laser tag, spin zone bumper cars, a ropes course and more! The date is Monday, 5/15; the bus will leave from school at 2:45PM. Pizza and a drink will be provided.  Sign up with Mr. Mitchell and pick up a permission slip & waiver!

 

Reminder that Portville will be taking students to a Buffalo Bison’s game on Friday, June 2nd.  You can enjoy some food, Baseball, and fireworks. Please sign up outside of Mrs Morella’s room, 201, by May 19th and return the permission slip as soon as possible.

 

Mrs. Baker and Mrs. VanCuren are looking for artists!   If you artistic and would like to win some CASH… please  consider submitting an art piece that could be used for next year’s Calendar cover or on the back.  It can be done by hand or on the computer.  See them for details – deadline is June 1st.

 

Now for your PCS Spring Sports:

Congratulations to the Varsity Track and Field athletes that competed at the Golden Falcon Invitational in Falconer this past Friday evening. Many athletes brought home PRs and qualifying times for the state qualifier meet later this season.

Jenna Wyant placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash and the 4 by 100 meter relay alongside teammates Olivia Dean, Julia Wyant, and Jessica Daley. She also brought home wins in both the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.84 seconds and the 4 by 400 meter relay with a time of 4:14.77 alongside teammates Julia Wyant, Jessica Daley, and Aryanna Hatch. Julia Wyant placed 5th in the 200 meter dash. Samantha Bray placed 5th in the 2000 meter steeplechase. Bryan Randolph placed 6th in high jump and 6th in the 4 by 400 meter relay alongside teammates Ben Isaman, Parker Dornan, and Simon Szymanski.

 

The Portville Lady Panthers fell to 7-4 Friday night losing both contests in the Bolivar-Richburg Tournament. In the opening round PCS dropped a 10-6 decision to Olean. Leading Portville offensively was Mattison Foster, Teagan Kosinski, and Avery DeFazio who all went 2 for 4. In the consolation game Portville was defeated by Addison 15-0. Mattison Foster had the lone hit going 1-3. Congratulations to Avery DeFazio who was named to the All-Tournament team. Portville looks to get back on track today May 8th as they host Ellicottville in league action. Game time is 5:00pm. GO PANTHERS! #pawpower🥎💪🏻🥎
