Gamer’s Club will be gathering today from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library.  For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.

 

And now for the PCS SPORTS NEWS…..

 

Attention 7th and 8th graders. Think spring and sign-up for the modified track and field thing. Two convenient locations, sign-up outside Miss Giardini’s room or Mr. Mitchell’s room today.

 

Spring physicals are next Wednesday, March 1st.  If you need a physical, please sign up with Mrs. Kent in the nurse's office.  Physicals are required to play on any sports team.  Also, if you plan on trying out for JV and need to take the APP test, please see Mrs. Colligan this week. 

 

ATTENTION All girls in grades 7-12 interested in trying out for softball this spring ….There will be open gym next week on Monday (2/27) and Wednesday (3/1) next week from 6-7 in the North Gym. Any questions see coach Torrey.

 

Attention boys interested in playing JV baseball this year: there will be a brief meeting TODAY after school in the lecture hall. Any questions, please see Mr. Matz.

 

Congratulations to the Lady Panthers for defeating the Holland Dutchwomen last night and advancing to the Class C Semifinals.  In the first quarter our Junior Center, Lilly Bentley, joined a small group of Portville Hoops athletes as she scored her 1000th career point.  She ended the night with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Jackie Scanlon scored 14 points, and had 8 boards, 6 assists, and 3 steals.  Ava Haynes also scored double digits with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.  Teagan Kosinski had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists, while Avery DeFazio pulled down 7 boards.  The girls will now face Randolph in the semifinals at JCC on Thursday, 03/02 at 7PM.  It would be awesome if the student body would attend and give the girls some support!

 


ANOTHER REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS - Students should not be coming down to use vending machine out of classes or study halls.  That is for use before school, after school, and during lunch. Also, the office is not a bank and does not have money to make change.

 

Students are also REMINDED THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO CONSUME Pop, Monster Drinks, or Energy Drinks during the school day.  Students can have water or whatever is purchased from the Pause.
